The BC government cancelled the Homeowners Protection Office’s interest-free Reconstruction Loan Program for owners of leaky condos in 2009. The program was set up in 1998 as part of the Homeowners Protection Office. Existing loans have been transferred to the ministry of Finance. As of June 30, 2010 the PST Relief Grant for owners of homes with completed building envelope repairs was terminated in conjunction with the introduction of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST).
